Paz Calleja

I started painting as an adult. I'm fascinated by landscapes, and I try to capture the ones that most impact me on canvas: light and dark, calm or turbulent seas, plains with intense colors, autumnal or winter trees, in short, powerful landscapes. I photograph what I see in nature in the Valencian Community, Asturias, and Castile, and I try to explore nuances, mixing complementary, analogous, or tertiary colors.

I use acrylic paint, which I spread with a brush, palette knife, and trowel, leaning toward a style somewhere between figurative and abstract. With my paintings, I would like to travel back to those places that have so moved me, and I invite the viewer to be transported with me.

6. Actualmente estoy inscrita en REVISTART, (revista distribuida a
   lo largo de la Península), donde se publican
   bimensualmente obras mías.
7. Tengo certificado de autenticidad de mis obras conseguido
   a través de SAFE CREATIVE, página web, donde publico varias
   obras. Me premiaron dos de ellas.
8. Por último, expuse individualmente en la Galería de la
   FUNDACION ALVARGONZALEZ (Gijón) en agosto del pasado
   2024, consiguiendo vender 7 cuadros.
